- NEWS: Scivings explore crowdfunding for app launch | Scivings
As November unfolds, Scivings is entering the next stage of its digital journey with an initiative designed to reach students far beyond the campuses currently involved in early discussions. While the development of the Scivings App continues to progress, this month marks the beginning of a strategy aimed at raising worldwide awareness of Scivings' mission. 18th november 2025 Sciving explores crowdfunding for app development and student access As the year draws toward its close, Sciving is entering a period of renewed momentum. The preparations for the Sciving App have continued to advance throughout the autumn, and November brings with it a bold new initiative aimed at expanding student access, increasing visibility, and strengthening the community that stands behind Sciving’s mission. Sciving is now exploring the use of crowdfunding not only as a means to support the development of the app, but as a way to bring global attention to the mission behind it. The decision to consider crowdfunding grew from a simple realization: many students, whether in Europe or far beyond, face the same challenges of affordability, sustainability, and access to supportive communities. By opening the project to a broader audience, Sciving hopes to create a collective sense of ownership and invite students everywhere to participate in shaping tools designed for their future. Crowdfunding offers a way for students and supporters to discover Sciving’s vision early, engage with its development, and share it within their own networks. The aim is to create a wave of awareness that extends far beyond the first campuses set to adopt Sciving housing. Central to this effort is the Sciving App itself, which will become the gateway to opportunities, savings, and community engagement. Through collaborations with educational retailers, restaurants, cafés, and brands, the app will provide students access to discounts on essential study materials and everyday necessities. These benefits are designed to ease financial pressures and make daily routines more affordable, whether students are buying books, meeting friends for a meal, or preparing for a demanding semester. By highlighting these features in the crowdfunding campaign, Sciving hopes to demonstrate the immediate, practical value the app offers to students worldwide. In addition to financial support, the app will help students connect with each other in meaningful ways. It will give them a place to share ideas, work together on sustainability projects, and build relationships across campuses and countries. Communication with the Sciving team will be built directly into the platform, allowing students to share feedback and suggestions in real time. As Sciving’s presence begins to spread internationally, the partnerships formed near each campus will serve as local examples of the kind of community-driven student environment Sciving aims to create. These collaborations will show how affordable meals, supportive services, and accessible study environments can all become part of a larger ecosystem that prioritizes student well-being. By increasing awareness worldwide, Sciving hopes to inspire students from many regions to advocate for similar opportunities at their own universities. At its core, exploring crowdfunding is about more than financing app development. It is about amplifying the mission behind Sciving and building a shared sense of purpose among students everywhere. The more people who learn about the project, the stronger the foundation becomes for creating accessible, sustainable, and connected student living on a global scale. As the plans for the crowdfunding campaign continue to take shape, Sciving looks forward to sharing how students and supporters can participate in this new chapter. November marks an important moment, as Sciving steps into a broader conversation with students worldwide, inviting them to help shape the future of student life and the digital tools that support it. - NEWS: Optimizing Scivings Units | Scivings
Scivings residences encapsulate the essence of Scandinavian living, marrying modern comfort with sustainable design principles. Drawing inspiration from the region's aesthetic, our homes prioritize functionality without compromising on style. Building on DTU Research to Optimize Sciving Student Housing 27th november 2024 Picture taken at DTU (Technical University of Denmark) We’re excited to share how we’re improving our current Sciving student housing units by using insights from groundbreaking research conducted by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). These improvements aim to make our housing more sustainable and comfortable for students. The research from DTU students has given us invaluable ideas for enhancing our units. They focused on areas like managing indoor temperatures, controlling humidity, and using sustainable materials. By working with experts, we’ve brought these ideas into our upgrades to keep our housing at the cutting edge of comfort and sustainability. One of the standout improvements is the addition of special window films that help regulate temperatures by reflecting sunlight and reducing heat buildup. This simple change keeps the spaces cooler in the summer without relying too much on air conditioning. We are also upgrading ventilation and humidity systems to keep air fresh and reduce moisture issues, especially in bathrooms. We are also making our insulation more eco-friendly by using sustainable materials that save energy and reduce environmental impact. These improvements align perfectly with our goal of making student housing greener and more efficient. Our collaboration with DTU has been a key part of this journey, showing how much can be achieved when academia and industry come together. Their research has directly shaped our approach, helping us create housing that is practical and genuinely enhances students’ daily lives. As we roll out these updates to our Sciving units, we are building stronger partnerships with universities and others who share our vision. Our goal is to create living spaces that meet practical needs while also offering a sense of community, comfort, and sustainability. These optimizations are part of a much larger vision to rethink what student housing can truly offer. By integrating the forward-thinking research from DTU and adopting innovative technologies, we are setting a new standard for what sustainable, student-centered housing should look like. Our goal is to not only improve the quality of housing but also contribute positively to environmental sustainability and the overall student experience. As we move forward with these enhancements, we will keep you informed every step of the way. Whether it is sharing updates about project timelines, unveiling new design features, or announcing exciting collaborations, we are committed to maintaining an open dialogue. Together, we aim to create housing that inspires students to thrive academically, socially, and personally while leaving a positive impact on the planet. These improvements reflect our dedication to building a brighter, more sustainable future for student living. Written by Sciving, 2024

This initial unit, which integrates cutting-edge sustainable technologies and prioritizes the comfort and well-being of its occupants, serves as a proof of concept for a revolutionary approach to student housing by Sciving. The project at DTU not only validated Sciving's innovative design, but also provided valuable insights into optimizing the construction and functionality of these units for diverse climates and student needs. After the success of the construction at DTU, the team of Sciving has been actively engaging with universities internationally. These discussions have included campus visits and in-depth consultations with university officials to assess the specific housing challenges faced by their student populations. Sciving is confident in its ability to address the growing demand for student housing on a global scale, offering a solution that is both affordable and sustainable while enhancing the overall student experience. The company's modular units are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing them to be easily adapted to the unique needs and cultural contexts of universities across different regions. This adaptability is a key factor in Sciving's expansion strategy, as it enables the company to meet the specific housing requirements of diverse student populations, whether in dense urban environments or sprawling rural campuses. By providing high-quality, eco-friendly housing options that can be quickly and efficiently deployed, Sciving aims to significantly reduce the housing shortage faced by many universities, ultimately creating more inclusive and supportive campus communities worldwide. Sciving is actively in dialogue with plot owners, municipalities, and development partners to identify and secure suitable sites for upcoming student housing projects. These conversations are a key step in turning long-term plans into real, buildable locations. Across multiple countries, the search for viable plots is well underway. Each location presents its own opportunities and constraints, from accessibility and surrounding infrastructure to zoning requirements and local regulations. By working closely with plot owners and local stakeholders, Sciving ensures that every potential site aligns with both student needs and the practical realities of development. This process is essential in creating housing that is not only well-designed but also realistically deliverable. At the same time, the partnerships established throughout 2025 continue to play an important role. Universities remain closely involved in these discussions, helping to evaluate locations based on proximity to campus life and student demand. Their input ensures that future Sciving housing is placed where it can have the greatest impact, supporting both academic life and everyday convenience for students. While much of this work takes place behind the scenes, it represents a critical phase in Sciving’s development. Identifying and securing the right plots is the foundation for everything that follows, from design and planning to construction and long-term operation. February has therefore been a month of steady, focused work, continuing the momentum established at the beginning of the year. Sciving remains committed to moving forward across all areas of development. Alongside site discussions, internal planning and coordination continue to ensure that once locations are confirmed, projects can progress efficiently. The goal is to be ready to act as soon as the right opportunities are secured. As 2026 progresses, these ongoing conversations will shape the next phase of Sciving’s growth. By working closely with plot owners and local partners across Europe, we are building the foundation for future housing projects that respond directly to the needs of students and cities alike. The work continues, and each step brings us closer to delivering meaningful solutions to the student housing challenge. Written by Sciving, 2026

- NEWS: May 2026 | Scivings
Scivings is advancing plans for affordable, sustainable student housing in Denmark through ongoing discussions with municipalities and preparations for its first major project. 27th may 2026 Sciving moves closer to its first Danish student housing project May has been a month of significant progress for Sciving, as new conversations have been initiated with several of Denmark’s largest municipalities while existing dialogues continue to advance. The growing interest in transportable and sustainable student housing solutions is creating exciting opportunities, bringing Sciving closer to its first major student housing project in Denmark. Throughout the month, Sciving has held meetings with several of Denmark’s largest municipalities to discuss how new student housing developments can help address the increasing demand for accommodation. Many of these conversations build on work carried out over the past year, and several have now progressed to discussions about potential project locations, local student housing needs, and the requirements for bringing new developments to life. As a result, Sciving is closer than ever to securing its first major student housing project in Denmark. Last month, Sciving introduced several new members to the team. Just a few weeks later, the impact is already becoming clear. The expanded organization has allowed Sciving to increase its activity significantly, with meetings taking place across Denmark while project development work continues at full pace behind the scenes. As demand for new student housing projects continues to grow, having the right people in place has become increasingly important. The strengthened team is helping Sciving maintain momentum across multiple opportunities simultaneously and ensuring that promising discussions can be turned into real projects faster and more efficiently. The strong interest from municipalities reflects a challenge that continues to grow across Denmark. In many university cities, demand for student housing significantly exceeds current housing solutions, leaving students with limited affordable options close to their place of study. As municipalities look for solutions that can be delivered faster and more sustainably, modular construction is becoming an increasingly relevant part of the conversation. The growing shortage of student housing is precisely the challenge Sciving was created to address. Through affordable, healthy, and transportable housing units, Sciving Student Housing offers a new approach that enables cities and universities to expand housing capacity faster and more flexibly than traditional developments. May has provided further confirmation that the need for new student housing solutions is being recognized across Denmark. The month has been marked by productive meetings, growing engagement from municipalities, and meaningful progress across several ongoing opportunities. While important work remains ahead, Sciving continues to move steadily toward its first major student housing project in Denmark. Written by Sciving, 2026
- NEWS: Scivings reflect on a year of progress and student-led growth | Scivings
As 2025 comes to an end, Scivings look back on a year defined by momentum, collaboration, and one guiding principle: building student housing together with students. 27th december 2025 Sciving reflects on a year of progress and student-led growth As 2025 comes to an end, Sciving looks back on a year defined by momentum, collaboration, and one guiding principle: building student housing together with students. The year began with a clear ambition to turn student feedback into real action. Building on the prototype work completed at DTU in 2024, January marked the transition from concept to international ambition. Plans were set in motion to launch pilot projects across Europe, with students invited to actively shape everything from layouts and indoor climate to how housing supports study, rest, and social life. From the very start, 2025 was about listening first and designing second. Throughout spring, that ambition gained structure. Student sign-ups and university conversations confirmed what Sciving had already sensed: there is strong demand for affordable, private, and well-designed housing that reflects how students actually live today. By March, preparations were underway to announce first locations, while continued testing and refinement ensured that the units themselves met high standards of comfort, flexibility, and efficiency. Every adjustment, from sound insulation to airflow, was driven by real-world use and long-term scalability. April marked an important internal milestone, as Sciving began developing its own management and cleaning operations. This step reinforced a long-term commitment to quality and reliability, ensuring that the student experience remains consistent across locations while staying aligned with sustainability goals. At the same time, testing and production planning continued through May, laying the groundwork for smooth future construction and installation. As summer arrived, the focus shifted strongly toward partnerships. While campuses were quieter, Sciving deepened its collaboration with universities, municipalities, landowners, and developers. These months turned early conversations into concrete planning, with five European cities emerging as focal points for future projects. By late summer and early autumn, negotiations moved closer to formal agreements, bringing Sciving closer to turning plans into physical student communities. Autumn also marked a new phase beyond housing alone. In October, Sciving prepared for the launch of the Sciving App, opening a direct channel between students, housing opportunities, and a wider support ecosystem. The app represents an expansion of Sciving’s mission, combining housing access with communication, community building, and financial relief through student-focused partnerships. November then introduced another bold idea: exploring crowdfunding as a way to expand access, visibility, and student ownership of the platform and its purpose. Looking back, 2025 has been a year of foundations. No single announcement defines it, but together the months tell a clear story: Sciving has grown from a promising concept into an active, international project shaped by students, universities, and partners across Europe. Systems have been built, partnerships strengthened, and a shared vision clarified. As Sciving moves into 2026, the focus turns from preparation to realization. With locations nearing confirmation, digital access about to launch, and a growing community behind the mission, the coming year will be about welcoming students into homes they helped define. 2025 proved that when students are invited into the process, innovation becomes grounded, relevant, and lasting. - NEWS: Scivings focused on partnerships with universities during Summer Break
Scivings uses the summer break to strengthen partnerships with universities, gathering student feedback and starting talks with two new institutions to improve sustainable student housing solutions. 24th july 2025 Sciving focused on partnerships with universities during Summer Break With many students away on summer vacation, July has provided Sciving with the perfect opportunity to deepen our conversations with universities about the future of student housing. While students take a well-earned break, Sciving continues to work hands-on with institutions, focusing on understanding student needs and exploring ways to improve housing solutions on campuses. This period of reduced student activity allows universities more flexibility in their schedules, giving us valuable time to meet directly with decision-makers and facilities teams. The discussions have centered on feedback collected from students during the academic year, highlighting both the strengths and the challenges of current housing situations. By bringing these insights into our conversations, Sciving is able to collaborate with universities on targeted solutions that respond directly to what students want and need most in their daily living environments. Topics such as indoor climate control, space efficiency, maintenance, and sustainable building practices are at the forefront of these discussions. Students consistently emphasize the importance of housing that is not only affordable but also supportive of both their academic and personal well-being. With this in mind, Sciving is working closely with universities to ensure that future developments address these concerns while setting new standards for comfort, sustainability, and innovation. Summer is also proving to be a productive time for growth. Sciving has recently begun talks with two additional universities, expanding our network of collaborations and reinforcing our role as a proactive partner in the student housing sector. By taking advantage of this quieter period on campus, we are able to lay the groundwork for new partnerships that will shape projects in the coming months and years. Although July is often a time for rest, Sciving remains focused on its mission. By engaging with universities during the summer break, we are building stronger relationships, gathering invaluable insights, and ensuring that student housing solutions continue to evolve in step with the needs of the students themselves. As we look ahead to the next academic year, these ongoing conversations will be key in guiding the next steps of our journey to transform student living. Written by Sciving, 2025
