BAYO.S Schraubfundamente Sciving arbeitet mit der BAYO.S Technologie, die es unseren Einheiten ermoeglicht, sich flexibel an unterschiedliche Gelaende anzupassen. Diese innovative Loesung garantiert Stabilitaet und Sicherheit, sodass unsere Einheiten auch auf unebenem oder anspruchsvollem Terrain stabil und zuverlaessig bleiben. FIBO Wandpaneele Bei Sciving verwenden wir Fibo Wandpaneele in unseren Badezimmern, hergestellt aus PEFC-zertifiziertem Holz, das nachhaltige Forstwirtschaft unterstuetzt. Die Paneele sind mit einer EPD Umweltdeklaration versehen, welche die Umweltbilanz sowohl der Rohstoffgewinnung als auch der Produktion transparent dokumentiert. Bambusholz Das schnelle Wachstum von Bambus uebertrifft traditionelles Holz und bietet klare oekologische Vorteile. Er produziert etwa 35 % mehr Sauerstoff als viele herkoemmliche Holzarten, da beim Anbau auf Pestizide, Herbizide und kuenstliche Duenger verzichtet wird. Zudem spielt Bambus eine wichtige Rolle bei der CO2-Bindung und verbessert dadurch seine Umweltbilanz. FSC Gepruefte Materialien Sciving ist stark der Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet, einem Grundprinzip unseres Bauansatzes. Wir bevorzugen FSC-zertifizierte Produkte, wann immer es moeglich ist, im Einklang mit unserem Anspruch an verantwortungsbewusstes Handeln und nachhaltige Materialwahl. Transparente Organisation Wir arbeiten aktiv daran, eine FSC-Zertifizierung zu erreichen, die unser Engagement fuer nachhaltige Forstwirtschaft weiter staerkt und neue Moeglichkeiten fuer Umweltfoerderung und Unterstuetzung eröffnet. Zudem orientieren wir uns am daenischen Umweltzeichen Schwan und dokumentieren deshalb saemtliche Produktionsprozesse sorgfaeltig, um hohe Umweltstandards zu erfuellen und Transparenz in unserer Lieferkette sicherzustellen. Biomasse Die Pflanzung und Ernte von Baeumen erfolgt auf nachhaltige Weise und orientiert sich an internationalen Best Practices. Nach der Holzernte wird die verbleibende Biomasse, einschliesslich Aeste und Laub, sorgfaeltig recycelt. Diese recycelte Biomasse wird vielseitig genutzt, unter anderem zur Herstellung von Briketts. Die aus recycelter Biomasse bestehenden Briketts dienen insbesondere in Privathaushalten als Energiequelle. Dieser Ansatz reduziert Abfall, unterstreicht die Umweltverantwortung und unterstuetzt gleichzeitig nachhaltige Energiepraktiken, indem er eine umweltfreundliche Alternative fuer Heizung und Energiebedarf im Wohnbereich bietet.

Since opening the sign-up form earlier this year, interest from students has been strong. Suggestions have come in from across Europe, with students eager to see Sciving arrive at their university. This enthusiasm highlights a clear shift in what students want from housing. Affordability, comfort, and a healthy livingspace of their own to focus on their studies. Each Sciving unit offers a fully private living experience. Students have their own bathroom, kitchenette, dedicated study space, built-in storage, and a comfortable sleeping area. The Scandinavian-inspired design reflects a calm and functional approach to student life, supporting both focus and relaxation in a compact, well-organized space. The homes are designed for flexible placement using advanced ground screw technology, which allows for installation on a variety of terrains without major disruption. This opens up opportunities to bring student housing to places that were previously considered unbuildable or temporary. While the first locations are being finalized, Sciving continues to invite students to influence where the concept goes next. Through the online sign-up form, students can recommend universities or cities where they would like to live in a Sciving unit, and these inputs will play a direct role in shaping future decisions for the company and helps ensure that housing reaches the students who need it most. While preparations continue for the first locations, ongoing testing and development are helping to make the units even more efficient, comfortable, and ready for large-scale production. Recent efforts have centered on improving both the interior layout and construction process. By closely studying how the units are built, assembled, and experienced in real conditions, Sciving’s team is identifying ways to streamline production and enhance overall quality. This includes refining material selections, simplifying assembly steps, and reviewing climate performance under different seasonal conditions. Sciving units are already designed with comfort and functionality in mind. Each one includes a private bathroom, kitchenette, study space, and sleeping area, all arranged to support a student’s daily life. As testing continues, the goal is to make every detail even more precise, whether that means adjusting lighting placements, improving sound insulation, or optimizing airflow for better indoor comfort. At the same time, Sciving is exploring ways to reduce time on site once construction begins. The modular nature of the homes allows for off-site preparation, and current testing is focused on shortening the time between delivery and installation. The aim is to make it easier and faster for universities and partners to bring Sciving units to their campuses or other locations. This phase of focused development is essential to ensure that when construction begins, everything runs smoothly. It also helps lay the foundation for future projects beyond the initial pilot sites.
